The weekend before last weekend (I know I’m too late with my reports), we had the international food party! That means everyone who attends bring traditional food from their country and we share altogether. I thought, well, that won’t be a big deal since I will cook the most easiest things we have in Austria: Sterz, Palatschinken, Frittatensuppe and a fake version of Kaiserschmarrn. But we didn’t count with the African kitchen. First, the tools were quite different and on the top we forgot that we couldn’t use the stove and the oven at the same time since it was working with gas. Too bad, so we were finally too late and Kiki’s british crumble and the Kaiserschmarrn were not ready. Nevermind, we went there anyway.

Having arrived (like 1 1/2 hours too late), all the interns, so Jonas, Ole, Kiki and me had to do a presentation about our home country. We all thought that won’t be a big deal too since they told us that at most 15 people will attend… But then, the surprise: there were about 30 people plus the Vice-Chancellor of the university! Oh dear… Jonas just had one slide, Ole showed videos not synchronized with the sound, Kiki was just speaking and me I accidentally copied the folder with the unsorted pictures. That means I had to skip some veeeery quickly.. lol… very professional 😉 But I think, people still liked it, especially the food afterwards 🙂

And no african party is a party without dance! So, we danced a lot, even the vice-chancellor and we performed our truly amazing IAESTE dance in Tanzanian style:

Unfortunely, that was our last big evening with lovely Kiki from UK. We had to say goodbye on monday… It was sad, but funny in the same time, since we did in african style as well: 10 people in one car far too late on the way to the airport haha crazy life here 😉
